What to do if Your House is Haunted

Cold spots, apparitions, disembodied voices, doors opening and closing on their own, lights and appliances mysteriously turning themselves on and off, strange moaning, rapping, and unexplained footsteps…These are some of the classic symptoms of a haunted house. You might even see flashes of light, shadows move out of the corner of your eye For many individuals, sharing their home with a ghostly entity can be a strange, and even a terrifying, experience. And not knowing what to do about it can be ever so frustrating. Should you call in a priest to perform an exorcism? Or is it better to put your house up for sale and start shopping around for a new place to call home? Not at all. Just take a deep breath, relax, and remember, that your guests were at one time, a physical human being, and still are very much a living soul. Although many have not seen their guest/s, you can talk to them, interact with them, and even possibly communicate with them using Recording devices. By setting up any recording device, you may be able to find out who is in your home, to help you further know whther or not you will need help from those like us, who study and learn on this. Set out several questions, such as: What is your name? wait 30 seconds ...What year is it? wait another 30 seconds..What town is this? wait 30 seconds...How old are you? wait...Using these example questions may help you find out who is in your home, and possibly why. Now not always will they answer you right away, but if you try this procedure several times during the course of a day or two within their activity cycle, you may be able to find out who they are, and why their there....If you find out names and dates, there may be public records of that home or area to give you some ideas to the history and people who might have lived there.

Sometimes simply speaking out loud to the spirit and politely asking it to leave you, your family, and your home in peace is all that is necessary to bring the undesired paranormal activity to a halt. But this has also proven not to be useful to those whose fear override any common sense.. In most instances, if the entity is not agressive, you can speak to them as if they were alive. Not always will they listen, and some are stuck in a time warp and may not interact with you. Simply tell them that you acknowledge their presence. Ask them to please follow some rules, such as: Do not frighten the children or animals.(if any) Do not throw objects, leave electrical appliances alone, if they have been using these. However anxious you may be to evict your freeloading phantom, we do warn you not to shout at, curse, or antagonize a ghost in any way, as this is likely to only upset or anger the spirit, thus worsening the situation for you and any others in your haunted household. We also strongly advise against do-it-yourself exorcisms, using ouiji boards, for basically the same reason.
