Getting Started for Meditation


Meditation is an excellent way to develop your psychic and sensitive abilities. With alot of patience and
practice, you can relieve daily stress from home and work, as well as tune into your spiritual self. Meditation
allows us to unlock our inner self, and find our higher self. Our guides and teachers are willing to speak to
us through meditation. We learn to listen to our intuition and our gut instincts. With meditation, we learn
how to calm our lives down from over working and exhaustion.

Its always a good idea to find some quiet time, when family has gone to bed, but before you get too sleepy.
Many like to meditate after they wake up in the morning. If you can stick to a certain schedule, spirit will find it easier to come to you if they know you are sticking
to a schedule. Meditating several times a week is the best way to become attuned to spirits presence.

Cleansing your self and stones(divination tools)

Cleanse all your stones beforehand, intend those that you will use for meditating with spirit. Light some
candles, some incense, and bring your sage out if you have any. I usually burn some sage and cleanse everything
this way, as well as say my prayer after my stones are cleansed, but everyone can cleanse their stones in the
fashion they desire. Many cleanse their stones by holding them under running water, imagining the the stream
of water as white light washing away all the accumulated negativity.

There are many kinds of stones or crystals people use when they meditate. Its not necessary, but I'm adding
this anyways.Holding a stone in each hand during meditation will help bring energies closer to you. Many don't
use divinity tools during meditation. Do what feels comfortable to you. I also burn sage and breath it in, passing
it over my body and the room I meditate in. Negative energies don't like sage, so they'll flee and allow the
good energies to come forward. Some light music is also helpful for relaxation.

Grounding Before You Meditate

I find a super comfy place to sit, back erect, feet firmly planted if possible. Ground yourself by imagining
a extension cord coming out of your lower spine, and going deep into mother earth. Imagine many branches of
roots stretching deep into the ground. Wearing or holding a piece of hematite, or black tourmaline also helps
you ground. Before you begin your breathing, lay the grounding stones aside. If you have no stones, eating meat
or chocolate will also help you ground.

Practice breathing in deep, slow breaths, in thru the nose, and out thru your mouth,do this for several minutes
concentrating on your breathing. Allow your mind to clear. If you have a problem doing this, as many do, try
focusing on the flame of a candle, or imagine yourself sitting by a bon fire. Concentrate on your slow breaths, in
then out, in, then out. Allow your mind to become clear, while breathing in and out.

While I burn sage before I meditate, I say a prayer. After time, you will make your own, and theres more on the
prayers page.

Now do not get discouraged if nothing happens for quite some time, because no one can get messages right away,
it takes time and preserverance, and believe me, I'm still waiting for those messages in which I ask about.
Just remember, it takes time to understand how you will recieve those messages. Those will come with either
yes, or no answers quickly, when you ask questions. You will see images, or symbols, and even names, in time.

Interpertating the messages you recieve is an ongoing practice, so be patient....
These will help you understand when you have spirit around you.....
You feel your hairs on certain parts of your body stand up, I call these chivers....
Your head will tingle, like you have a bug crawling thru your hair.....
When you feel like your body is vibrating from the inside..
I've been told this is your chakras opening up to spirit, and their aligned...
This often occurs after meditating and is a great time to ask yes or no questions.
