Grounding and Protective Stones

Agate comes in reds, browns, yellows, oranges, and blacks, sometimes with stripes or zoning. Agate is good
protective stone, especially for children. It also can help strengthen the body and the body's connection to
the earth. It can also lessen feelings of envy by grounding the emotions.

Ametrine carries the properties of both citrine and amethyst. It totally dispels negativity and relieves stress.
It is an aid for meditation and in decision making. Due to this combination, it never needs cleaning.
Apache Tears (type of Obsidian) are an excellent grounding stone and provides for a connection from the base of the
spine to the heart of the Earth. It is also a wonderful protection stone providing a shield against
negativity and transforming negative vibrations within the environment. Carrying or wearing Obsidian
assists in dispersing those unloving thoughts which arise from within the self or are directed toward ones
physical form.
Black Onyx is a black stone that can be very shiny or have a satiny finish. Black onyx is associated with the first
or base chakra. It helps with wound healing, childbirth and increases stamina and self-control.
It is a grounding stone that is beneficial for controlling and eliminating excess or unwanted energies.
Black onyx assists with challenges in life, in particular those caused by a drain of energy. It prevents

Bloodstone is an intense healing stone. An energy cleanser, it purifies the blood and detoxifies the liver, kidneys
and spleen. It benefits all blood-rich organs and regulates blood flow. Bloodstone cleanses the lower chakras
and realigns the energies. It provides grounding and centering as well as overall balance of the body. The

Carnelian is a stone which assists in releasing sorrow, envy, fear and rage. It clears negative energies. It calms

Danburite Sometimes called "the other diamond," Danburite is a white/clear stone that comes in a crystal structure.
Sometimes it has tints of pink or other colors, but is most often seen in white to clear. Danburite is
associated with the crown chakra especially, but also can enhance the functionality of all the chakras. It is
a stone that amplifies the properties and effects of other stones. It will open and release energy blockages,

Epidote is a green mineral that is not as well known as some of the others. When found in quartz its properties
are enhanced by the strength and amplification of the quartz. Epidote has a tendency to increase anything it
touches, whether the thing it touches is energy or a material object. In this manner, wearing or carrying the
stone increases one's spirituality and opens one to spiritual growth. It lessens closed-mindedness in all

Jasper(red): is a very protective stone. It's protective qualities emphasize survival and physical protection. It is
associated with the root (first) chakra, it enhances physical pleasure. Is the supreme nurturer. Brings

Jasper (yellow): has characteristics of helping one be strong and balanced in the social arenas and protects one's social
